Our goal at The Quarters on King is to make our guests feel like locals with all of the comforts and benefits that come along with knowing the town. Whether it’s last minute dinner reservations, planning day time activities for your wedding party, or recommending the best place to get a rooftop drink – we are happy to help.
During Your Stay
Please note, all rooms are located on the 2nd or 3rd floor of the building. The building is not equipped with an elevator and rooms are accessible by stairs only.
PARKING
We offer parking for $18 per night at our lot located at 13 George street, just 2 blocks from the hotel.
RESERVATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS
To guarantee your reservation we take one night room and tax as a deposit which is fully refundable up to seven (7) days prior to your arrival. We will make every effort to grant specific room requests; however, we cannot guarantee any room number or location.
PETS
This is a pet-free facility. Evidence of pets will result in an additional fee.
SMOKING
This is a smoke-free facility. Evidence of smoking will result in an additional fee.
TRASH
Trash receptacles can be found next to our front office at 93 Society St. Trash bags are also picked up in hallways before 10 AM.
NOISE
We’ve done our best to control the acoustics in rooms and common areas, but we are counting on guest’s participation as well! Please keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10 PM and 10 AM.
ELECTRONICS
We know technology can be frustrating. If you are unable to get the TV or another device working, please call the front desk at 843-388-4374 and do not attempt to unplug or fix yourself.
HOUSEKEEPING
The Quarters on King is committed to preserving our environment. Please help our staff reduce waste by being mindful of towels, paper goods, and cleaning supplies used. We provide what we feel is a suitable amount of towels, paper goods, and supplies for a typical 2-3 night stay. If you are enjoying an extended stay with us or if you have additional needs, please do not hesitate to contact us and we’ll be happy to provide additional supplies. Daily turn-down service or a complete cleaning is available for an additional fee. Please inquire with the front desk. We require 24 hours notice to schedule cleaning.
Directions
To Parking Lot From 93 Society Street – Continue down Society Street (a one way street) until the first intersection with Meeting Street. Take a left on Meeting Street. Move over to the right lane and take a right at the first light onto George Street. The surface parking lot is immediately on your right or the lot a little further up on the right. Be careful not to park in the two level parking structure which is considered unauthorized parking.
From Hwy 17 N ‐ From the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge, take the Meeting Street ramp to Visitor Center/N Charleston/I-26W/Columbia. Turn left onto Meeting Street and continue on Meeting Street to Calhoun Street. At the light, turn right onto Calhoun Street. At the next light, turn left onto King Street and continue for about two-tenths of a mile. The Quarters on King will be on your left.
From I-26 (From Airport) ‐ Take exit 221B on the left for Meeting Street, making a right turn onto Meeting Street and continuing on to Calhoun Street. At the light, turn right onto Calhoun Street. At the next light, turn left onto King Street and continue for about two-tenths of a mile. The Quarters on King will be on your left.
From Hwy 17S ‐ As you approach and cross the Ashley River, ease into the right lane and take the Lockwood Drive exit off the bridge. Keep right at the fork and follow the signs for Lockwood Drive South, merging onto Lockwood Drive. At the light, turn left onto Calhoun Street and continue for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right onto King Street and continue for about two-tenths of a mile. The Quarters on King will be on your left.
