42 Annual Cooper River Bridge Run on Saturday, April 6, 2019

January 4, 2019

The 42nd Annual Cooper River Bridge Run will take place on Saturday April 6, 2019. Whether you are a runner or not, there will be plenty of food and entertainment to enjoy. This 10k is perfect for beginning runners who just want to have fun and experience Charleston in a new way, with thousands of locals coming out to cheer you on! Alternatively, experienced runners can challenge themselves on the largest (and perhaps only) hill in Charleston and compete for prizes up to $10,000 for first-place overall!

Musical entertainment will be dispersed throughout the race route, with genres ranging from hip-hop and pop to rock, bluegrass, and country. Locals and visitors alike can be seen lining the route to cheer on the runners, and this is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to see how welcoming Charleston can be!

The Taste of the Bridge Run will occur on Friday April 5th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. For only $15, you can sample dishes from three of 25 participating restaurants, giving you a unique chance to see what Charleston’s chefs have to offer.

Finally, the Finish Festival will take place on Saturday April 6th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Marion Square, the corner of King Street and Calhoun Street, just blocks from our hotel! The festival will include entertainment, vendors, food, and souvenirs to commemorate the event.

This is one of Charleston’s most famous events, and rooms will book quickly! Call The Quarters on King today to make your reservation. One of the shuttle locations is located only blocks away from our hotel, so you can enjoy both convenience and luxury during your stay!
